Just hours away

It's now 6:08 pm and in just a few hours I'll be setting off to be with my beautiful Jenn.
I am just taking a few minutes to relax before I get ready and pack a few last things.
I always get a little nervous at this point. my mind is constantly racing.

I am always thinking , Did I pack that or do I have this and where is that.
I know that I will be in this state of mind until I land in Atlanta but also I at the same time I am so excited, this is what I work hard for and What it's all about.
been with my Jenn.

I have to stay over night in the airport and then a 9 hour flight before I get to her but it is all well worth it, I will be writing in as much detail as possible about what me and my Jenn do each day, not only for any of you who read this but for my self, so I can look back on it with fond memory.

almost like a journal, in fact I think that is what I will call it. Wayne and Jenn's journal, and the day that we are on.

Well I am gonna go and get dressed and book the taxi to take me to the train station. I will probably write another post from the airport, I Will be there for around 12 hours so it will give me something to do.

Thank you for reading this

I'm a nominee

Last night when I finished work I couldn't remember for the life of me what time I was working the next day so I sent a text message to my one of my friends at work asking him if he could send me a text message to let me know what time my shift started. He said no problem so that saved me having to get up to early in the morning.

The next Morning I wake up to my phone ringing and I answer not fully awake to here the boss.
He told me the time that I was working and then he goes on to tell me that I got a letter at work that he had opened by mistake because it was addressed to blockbuster and only said my name on the inside.

The letter said that I had been nominated as the king of customer care in my city by one of the customers who come in the store. Apparently I will go to the city hall where there will be other nominee's for different things and we will all be guests of honor and possibly win the awards that we have been nominated for.

He said congratulations and the phone call ended, I had to lay in my bed for a while before what he had said sunk in. I got up and went to work and read the letter when I got there, I had to read it twice before I could believe what I was reading.

When I told the boss he made me laugh, he looked at me and said "Don't forget us when you make your speech!" .

so on the 27th of November I will get the smart suit out and go to the city hall and see if I win. Good luck me. and thank you so much to the customer that Nominated me, I don't know if you read this but if you do, I hope to keep up the level of service that I have given you and keep you coming back to my store.

Thank you for reading my posts

I can't agree with it

I just saw on the news about a company that is now going around and offering drug addicts and alcoholics money to become sterile and not have children in the belif that the children would have more of a chance of haing birth defects, now I can agree with the fact that some of these people are in no state to have children yet andd maybe never will be who knows.

Now as far as I know the exact deal is that the copany gives the person in question around 200 dollars in exchange for them been sterilised and never having children.
This to me is so wrong, and here is the reason why.

Let me just put it to you in a different way and I hope that anyone who reads this will see what I am trying to say.

so here goes. to me they are saying "Sell your children".
Who would ever dream of doing that.

admitted that the children are not born yet but it's the same thing,
and it makes the situation worse because it's not encouraging the people to stop taking drugs or drinking, its saying " oh here you go have 200 dollars to go spend on your addiction, and now you have done that you will never have children".

Rather than some one saying to them, please come to our clinic where we will help you beat your addiction and you will have healthy children and know that you are in the right frame of mind to raise them.

I truly believe that life always deserves a chance to live and children are not their parents but a extension of their parents and in most cases are good people. but this new Idea isn't even giving them a chance to even be born to have a chance to live.

I just can't agree with it.

Band of brothers

I'm not sure if anyone has ever seen band of brothers, but I am currently watching it for the forth time, I watch it every year and I love it.

The series follows a company of men called Easy company, they were part of the airborne in world war 2. it shows the horrors that the once young men faced every day in world war 2 and follows them from basic training through Dday and right up the end of world war 2.

but this isn't so much of a action guns blazing kind of show, it follows Easy company and really gets you involved in the lives of all the soldiers and when they suffered a loss I found my self feeling sorry for them when it was funny I laughed and when it was sad, I did get a lump in my throat.

At the beggining of each show the actual men from Easy company talk about their experences
They are all old men and you can see that most of them have trouble talking about it and I do feel sad for them especially when they start to cry. they really have been through hell.

They series really does show how strangers become friends and through the pain and suffering of the war learn to depend on each other and become as close as family, they become a band of brothers.

I really do think that it is so important to remember just what the men of the world wars gave up so that I can sit here in comfort and enjoy my freedom and Band of brothers gives me a look in to just what they sacrificed to let me have the simple joys that I experience today.

I often think about how brave they were and how scary it must have been for them.
They were all so brave. and not one of them wanted to be there I don't think, but soldiers don't start wars politics and politicians start wars.

Watch band of brothers, it's amaizing

Back to normal

Today my niece Natalie and her baby Marcus both moved out and in to their very own place today.
They have been her more or less since I got back from seeing my beautiful Jenn in July.
So for almost three months and even longer for my mother, we have been sharing the house with Natalie and Marcus and for a while a few months back Natalie's boy friend.

She moved out just a little while ago, in fact about 40 minutes before I started to write this post, The first thing that I mainly notice is just how quiet the house has become. the cats have ventured back in to the living room and all the clutter and clothing that is Natalie and baby Marcus stuff has gone. it all seems so very quiet now.

I must admit that I will miss them, Baby Marcus is such a little character and is always looking for some way to get in to mischief, and Natalie is such a sweet person and has a heart of gold and even though she could be a pain at times I will miss her too.

Natalie seemed so excited to be moving out and while I am happy for her, I am her uncle and can't help but worry a little for her and Marcus, I think it's normal to worry in such a way though, it's kind of a will they be ok and do they have everything they need worry.

But as for the house here, it's finally back to it's normal self or the way it was before I last went to see my Jenn. and in just 24 days now I will be going back to be with my beautiful Jenn and for that I can hardly wait.

it's amazing how some times things will come along to keep you occupied while you are waiting for something to happen.
