The speech

I heard this speech in the film second hand lions,

"Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good. That honour, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing. That good always triumphs over evil. And I want you to remember this... that love... true love never dies! Remember that boy, remember that. Doesn't matter if it is true or not, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in. Got that?"

I love that speech. I think it is so true

I hope you all like it as much as I do

A must see movie

I have Just watched possibly the best movie so far this year.
it is called the soloist.

It stars Jamie Fox and Robert Downey Jr.

Jamie Fox plays Nathaniel Anthony Ayers a former classic music player who lives on the streets and is rediscovered by Robert Downeys character Steve Lopez a journalist looking for a story.
they become great friend and embark on a journey that changes both their lives.
This movie is such a uplifting story and I recommend it to anyone.

The acting is superb and the story is sensational.
I loved it from beginning to end

5 stars all the way

A quick joke but a true one

A Husband was trying to prove to his wife that women talk more than men.
He showed her a study which indicated that men use about 10,000 words per day, whereas women use 20,000 words per day.

His wife thought about this for a while.
She then told her husband that women use twice as many words as men because they have to repeat everything they say.

Her husband looked stunned.
He said "What?"

its getting worse

I guess that really I am writing this post to vent my frustration at the situation that seems to be getting even worse that it was. I have written about this before. I am talking about the situation with the games and parents renting them for there kids.

Now I am all for games, I love to play them and I think that they are great. but however , I really wanted to say something today when a lady walked in the store with little boy that I would say was no older than 6 years old. she took him to the games section and asked him which game he would like.

the little guy jumped for joy and ran and picked up a game and said "Mommy I want this one"
I looked at the game he was holding up. it was Call of duty Modern warfare 2, a 18 rated game which is well known for the violence and strong language.

I felt my heart sink in to my shoes. as she took the game from him and said come on then leading him to the counter and handing me the game, it was on the edge of my tongue to say "I'm sorry but I have to refuse you service" but I can't

But I did hold the case up to her and point to the 18 sticker and say " You do realise that this game is rated 18 and has very strong language and scenes of violence" and I gave a glance down at her child.

She just looked at me and gave a chuckle and said Oh it's OK. I really wanted to say no it's not. but I just got the disc for the game and then she said oh it's for my husband after I just herd the child say that it was that game he wanted. I knew it was for the child. She took the game and she put it in her bag and I think she even gave me a look of disgust.

All I was doing was looking out for the little guy,

children are so impressionable and there is a reason that the games and movies have age ratings on them. the way I see it is that she just rented him that game, she may as well have just stuck him in a room on his own put the exorcist on the TV and turned out the lights, its the same thing and I cant stand the thought of children being harmed in any way.

once again I am really sorry if this post offends anyone , that is not my intention. I just wish there was some law that said if we suspected that the parent or adult was renting a game or movie that was over the age of the child then we could officially refuse them service.

those poor kids don't need to see that kind of thing or at least not till they are old enough to get it them selves..

2012

There are so many rumours about this date as been the day when the world will end, I am quite interested in dooms day prophesies but I just want to say that this one is the craziest one yet. I am 99.99% sure that DEC 21 2o12 will not be the end of the world. let me explain.

The Mayan calender is a very interesting one and yes it does end on DEC 21 2012 but its the end of their great cycle, the Mayan people had quite a few different calenders. They had one that had 260 day cycles this would be to determine the best times of year to plant their seeds and farm for the best vegetables. and corn

they also had a 360 day calender broke down in to 18 20-day months with a 5 day period at the end of the cycle which was considered the unlucky time of the year. this calendar followed the cycle of the sun just like ours does today.

now the most important one in question the one that ends on December 21 2012 is called the great cycle and lasts 5,125 years and is known as the great cycle and is a time of great joy at the end of each cycle.

This cycle has gone full circle several times and nothing has ever happened before ,

it is just another calender that goes on a cycle and has done ever since it was made there was no last date on it that said DEC 21 2012 its just the rotation of this cycle 5,125 years that makes it land on this date.

so I tell you now to not panic the world will not end on DEC 21 2012,

relax!!!

My visit with Jenn

I am so very sorry that this has taken so long but let me explain. while I was there with Jenn it seems that my computer took a turn for the worst and died on me. I had to f11 and recover the hard drive which means I lost all the pictures from my computer but lucky for me I had them saved on my phone.

So I never got round to writing about mine and Jenn's last visit together.
so here it is as best as I can remember it.

I got to Atlanta on the 31st of October 2009 I wanted to be there for my beautiful Jenn's birthday which was on the 1st of November so I got there a day before. I got to the baggage terminal and waited for my Jenn and right on Que there she was, looking so perfect and beautiful.

I always have a fresh memory of just how she looks when I first see her and she always looks so amazing. her friend Clair had been kind enough to give Jenn a ride to the airport and took me and my Jennifer back to her college.

We went to my Jennifer's dorm and sat for a while before going to the motel and getting moved in for the stay. so now I will write the things that we did while I was there.

I remember that the weather was mostly beautiful while I was there and all the trees where still green. We went to our favorite restaurant and I had spaghetti and meat sauce, Jenn had a pizza.

I remember on Jennifer's birthday the 1st of November I wanted to get Jenn something but I wanted her to pick what she liked so I took her to the square and she picked out a beautiful ring with her birth stone in it Topaz. I know it made her happy because she was looking at it all the time. it made me so happy to see her delight in the gift that she had. We walked around the square and sat on the bench and I held her hand and told her that I love her more than anything and will forever.

I also remember what could possibly be one of the best days of my entire life so far, Clarie Jennifer's friend had paid for a carriage ride for me and Jennifer. we got to what I would call a ranch and there was a carriage there and a man called Wes was our carriage driver and the horse was called Dilbert and there was a small dog that came along for the exorcise called ruby. I helped Jenn in to the open top carriage and we began our trip. the weather was beautiful and there was a nice breeze.

I felt so happy I was in a horse lead carriage with the woman I love more than anything in the world, it was just like something out of a fairy tale. Jenn was resting on my shoulder and it really was so very perfect, no matter how I try to describe it I just can't write about how happy I was and how happy my Jenn makes me.

I also remember that we did some baking , well Jenn did most of the baking I just helped a little, Jenn is really good at making food. we baked velvet balls together. we went out almost every day to the square and had food from McDonald's a lot too,

one thing I had planned before I got there is to take enough money to get Jennifer a Christmas gift also because I wouldn't be there with her for Christmas and that way I could see her with her gift also.
I got her a I pod touch and Jennifer got me one and we spent most of the rest of that evening just playing on them. I got to meet a lot of Jennifer's friends on this trip and one friend I got to meet was Jennifer's and my good friend Morgan, I had spoken to Morgan so many times online and had spoken with her on the phone on occasion and I finally got to meet her, she is a wonderful person and I am happy to know her. she took me and Jennifer and took some wonderful pictures of me and Jennifer. it was so nice to have some one take our pictures rather than me holding the camera at arms length and hoping I got the aim right.

One of the biggest days there was a day that I baptized my beautiful Jennifer in to the latter day saints. it was a amazing experience and I remember feeling so nervous, right until the point where I got in to the water and then the nerves disappeared. I said the blessing and baptized my beautiful Jenn. it was so perfect. after we had food and went to the Blake's house.

These are the main events that I remember from mine and Jennifer's trip there are so many more things that we did and so many memories that I will never forget.

I said to Jennifer just before I had to come back to England that the way I see it is that when I go to England I am not going home. My home is with Jennifer England is just where I go to work.
I can't wait to be back with my beautiful Jennifer soon. I love you my beautiful Jennifer

09

2009 brought so many things to me for which I am grateful.
I was just reading my friend Morgan's post and it inspired me to wright this post about all the things that I am grateful for from 2009.

First I just want to say I am grateful for the spell check on this you should have seen my version of the word inspired it was way off.

ok so the most important thing I am grateful for from 2009 is the time I got to spend with my beautiful Jenn. every day with her has been the happiest of my life and I will be spending as much time as I can with her this year. I love you my beautiful Jenn.

it was also great to have met Morgan, she really is a wonderful person
and her family is so nice.

I am grateful for my health and the ability to do the things I do, like jogging and working and my sight and hearing all the things that make me go.

I am grateful for my family and the birth of my nieces children.

There are so many things that have made up my 2009 and I hope to bring all of those elements in to 2010 , without them I would not be the person I am now.

I am blessed every day to be alive and in good health.
