Myths and legends true or false ?

Ok so here is this weeks myth wich is one that has been around for afew centuries now
The myth of the zombie. As per usual I will present all my readers If any apart from My beautiful Jenn and my good friend Morgan With all the facts. Ok here goes

The myth of the zombie.

Now there has never been a repoeted sighting of a actual classic movie Zombie that walks at a Snails pace has no reasoning power and has a hunger for the living flesh. If you ask my mother she will tell you about how I look like one of the living dead when I get up in the whatever time of the day. InFact this one at first glance would look like another Hollywood yarn made up for our amusment.

George Ramero director of Night of the living dead, Day of the dead and the classic Dawn of the dead was once asked where he got the idea for the Zombies and said "Have you ever walked through a mall and taken a good look at the people walking around? they just walk and look With no Life behind there eyes they are all to busy With there lives to even smile at eachother half the time and the walk so slow as they look mindless at the products that they will purchas."

So from the sounds of it the myth actualy came from a exaggeration of humans doing there every day activitys but that is not so to find the root of this myth you have to go to Haiti.
this myth belongs to the voodoo cuture.

Zora Neale Hurston encountered the case of a woman that appeared in a village, and a family claimed she was Felicia Felix-Mentor, a relative who had died and been buried in 1907 at the age of 29. Hurston pursued rumors that the affected persons were given powerful drugs, but she was unable to locate individuals willing to offer much information. She wrote:

What is more, if science ever gets to the bottom of Voodoo in Haiti and Africa, it will be found that some important medical secrets, still unknown to medical science, give it its power, rather than gestures of ceremony.[4]

The bove segment was taken from a web page about the voodoo culture and It would apear that the dead had indeed risen so with that story in mind could it actualy be possible that zombies are real?.

If voodoo has the power to raise the dead then it is true and even the bible gives referance to the dead rising from the grave on the final days but I have yet to see a zombie walk down the street or infact be walking at all but just because I havnt seen them dosnt mean they dont exist in some shape or form the voodoo ritual seems to be people in a drugged up state of mind but I could be wrong.

I think Im gonna have to give this one a myth busted status for now.

while there is plenty of evidence to support this myth there just that bit more to dismiss it
apart from my mother who swears im a zombie first thing in the morning lol.

If anyone has any opinion on my topic for this week then please leave a comment
