Welcome to my photo Friday for this week.
Now I have seen some strange things in my life.
but the other day in the park I saw this thing.
Can anybody tell me what it is for?
I really have no idea.
there are two of these in the park one at each end.
I am really curious about it . I think it could be for tying a shoe. any suggestions?

Maybe it's for stretching?
Not a clue. Sorry!! Very interesting.
At first I was absoultely clueless. I've never seen one of those in in my entire life! But then, after reading Jennifer's comment, I'm thinking that she may be right. Stretching would make sense. Let me tell you, England's way ahead of America! I think that people here would just use a tree or something. Or who knows, maybe they have them here and I just haven't seen any yet.
for stretching make sense. it is recommended before you do any exercises. or may be it is an advice to walk barefoot from one bar to the other one?
I like the tying the shoe idea, it would be nice to have something to prop a foot on instead of having to bend all the way down! Very intriguing!
Tying a shoe? Stretching? Did you push on it? Maybe water will shoot up!
I have no earthly clue. I kind of like the stretching idea. But then, why wouldn't they show a foot with a sneaker on it??
It is a sign to go barefoot in the grass?
I had no idea -- but I really think you're on to something with the shoe tying stand.
I had to read everyone's comments.... get a feel for what they were thinking. I like the shoe tying idea, but my first thought was that it had something to do with going barefoot or NOT going barefoot.... Who knows! When you figure it out, you'll have to let us know! :)
how interesting . . .
If it is for tying your shoe, it would be a miracle if you had to tie your shoe at the exact moment you passed the posts. The stretching idea is good. Maybe it is to remind us to be good to our feet? :) Walk or run more?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it indicates you are on a WALKING path...as opposed to a bike path. But, then, I'm known for my inability to think outside the box. :-)

"Warm feet, warm heart." I think there's a saying along those lines.
After reading everyone's comments I think I have to agree with it being the head of a walking path. But it is in the middle of grass so maybe not. Sorry I'm no help.
If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.
I like the walking path idea... or for stretching based on the angle of the post. Interesting.
Is it part of exercise circuit around the park? Some park has a trail with different exercise stop. But I also like someoneelse's comment about for going barefoot in the grass.
Maybe to mark a footpath? I don't know, that's odd though.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm just glad all the pre birth ailments are gone now. :)
