Day 4 , Crazy people

so its day 4 of the lockdown that they say will be 3 weeks, but I do wonder if it will be longer.
I went shopping with my mother today to help her as she has arthritis and struggles to walk.  because my mother is dependant on a wheel chair or a scooter to help her around the shop they let her in  ahead of the que even though we said we were happy to wait in line.  they were only letting people in so many at a time.  once in the store, there were markers on the floor showing which way a isle should be walked down so that there was no crossing paths and at the checkouts there were markers to make sure everyone was 2 meters apart. not what  I am used to but given the situation I am fully prepared to adapt to keep my self and everyone around me safe. the toilet paper in shops is still very low on stock and the same for hand sanitizers.  but they are recovering.

speaking of recovery  todays recovery number stands at 132,526 while a lot of people are still catching it , the recovered are gaining ground, and if everybody who has got it has become immune then this virus is doing what we call burning bridges, it  will choke its self out , I just hope that as many people as possible stay safe and well. We can and We WILL beat it.

I think the worst part of this crazy thing that I have heard is that... some people have been coughing and spitting at the police saying they have corona virus.. I mean what the hell??? how low can you be to do such a thing,  its irresponsible.. its just beyond words.

thank you for reading today  :)

Day 3 Thank you Emergancy services

So its the third day in this lockdown and it seems to be working where people are abiding by the rules. but there are many people who are just paying no attention to it  , out and about like its a summer holiday, I can understand it can be very hard  to stick with it, but the rules are simple.
only go out for essentials such as shopping or exercise or work if your a key or essential worker.

Where I work I am considered a essential worker  and I have a letter to say I am authorised to travel to work , just in case I get stopped along the way.  but some people are walking around in big groups and this poses a big risk at the moment.

So today at 8pm we all cheered for the workers of the NHS = National Health Service. they are at the very front line of the virus and put them selves at risk every day , they work long hours and with often little thanks. My mother was a nurse for 33 years, she told me  a lot of stories and gave me a deep appreciation for the medical profession.  THANK YOU to all the medical services all over the world.

Today there are 123.337 recovered from the virus.

I  was glad to be going to work today, it was nice to get out of the house I cycle the route there and back  and I was actually able to take my time a little today and the sun felt good on my face. im glad the spring is here.

thank you for reading , and keep hope close and we will make it through.

Day 2

Well look at me writing on here for 3 days in a row now,  but what can I do, I am still working and managing to get out for a run, but apart from that and like everyone else I'm on lockdown for 3 weeks.

It's actually not so bad and I am finding that I am able to keep my self occupied in ways I would never normally turn my hand to, I am reading, writing on here and also I find that with been home more I am getting to talk with my mother more . Me and Jenn get to talk every night and most of the day , but it does make me realise just how grateful I am for the technology of today.

I know that this will all come to a end one day in the not to distant future, and when it does, Ill be on the first flight over to be with my beautiful Jenn.

So what's the update for today, Well looking at the news its nothing but corona virus. I have found a thing on my phone that tells of total infected which at this second stands at 463,387. and that is what the news is harping on about but they are not telling the number of recovered so I will and again at this second it stands at 113,802.  I just hope that everyone is staying safe and looking after each other.

When I am on my run I go for about 6 to 7 miles, I go through the woods in a attempt to keep a reasonable distance from other people  and even if I do see other people I will always stop off the path to the side and let them pass first.  It does go through my mind " do they have it,,, do they think I have it?"  these people who before would walk so close together and some hand in hand arm in arm are now walking apart from each other

I am a very optimistic person and I do believe that the best will come out of a situation, and surly it will come to a end and when it does, people will embrace, the pound will shoot up, restaurants will have wait times of 2 hours. people like me and my beautiful Jenn will be together again . It will happen and soon. if anybody does read this I hope it will give you hope  and that you can relate

thank you for reading and ill write again tomorrow :)

The first full Day

So this is the first full day that England has been on lockdown, the first day of my life I have been on lockdown, it feels so strange. I keep asking my self, is this real... am I going to wake up at some moment?? but yes its real.. as real as it gets. but is it that serious?? yes it is that serious .

We are still allowed basic time outside as in exorcise and shopping or work for essential workers and they are even advising for those people to work from home were possible, now I know that one thing is annoying about it above most for me,  they are saying.. so many people infected... but why are they not saying that 108,300 people out of the 400,000 confirmed cases have fully recovered and gone home, I think that would be such a big help for people as it would show that this thing does have a end,, that if we just hold steady we can make it.

Some people are being very selfish, I head about some people having Bbqs and that there were 20 people there,  others bunching up ,  now I am very aware that the hardest thing to do is break a habbit, especially one that we are so used to and have been told all our lives to do.. get out there and meet people, but we need to try to stop that, its for 3 weeks at the moment. but it could be longer if we dont follow the rules.

Years ago we stopped a invading force, in ww2 the world stood together and fought for our future. while the enemy is different the idea is the same,  maybe im not making much sense to anybody els but  i am in my head . we must fight it , England is a great country and we have a great opportunity to help the rest of the world. we should take a stand, and unite to fight the virus. We stop it HERE!!!

there is a small town called Eyam , its not to far from where I am, and when the plague hit England,  this very small town stood their ground and stopped it dead in its tracks, they had to make sacrifices  but they did what had to be done and thanks to those people... we survived..  they were heroes and we could be heroes too, its up to us, not just in England but everywhere.

England on lockdown

So today at around 8pm Borris Johnson Decided to put England on lockdown due to the Covid 19 - Corona virus, So what does that mean???  Well basically all none essential movement of any kind is not allowed. If you are caught out without a valid reason you could get fined or arrested,  groups of people are not allowed over 2 unless  you are of the same house hold.

the valid reasons you can be out is , if you are a essential worker going to or from work. you are allowed to go shopping but that is limited to no more than 3 of a item per customer . you can go out for exercise  such as running or walking as long as you are distanced from other people, its pretty much one step short of martial law.

shops will be opening  a hour early just for essential workers and the vulnerable, or a hour later than usual. but if you don't have good reason to be out, your gonna be in trouble.

this is so crazy, not the rules or the situation but I mean it just seems like something out of a movie, I never thought it would be like this. luckily  I am in good health and exercise daily to keep fit, but I know many are not as fortunate  and for those people , please keep safe and indoors and if you have some one who can help you then please get the help.

I do hope that this will quicken the death of the virus  and that we can learn from it and so it will never happen again.  its amazing how something that is microscopic can bring the world to its knees.

It's been so long

Well, it has really been a long time since I have put finger to keyboard on blogger, but here I am.
First to let you know, me and my Beautiful Jenn are still going strong , I and she have travelled to so many places and Jenn has been to England and she loves it . We visited Buxton and York, Skegness, Blackpool  and lots of other great places and loved them all.  In the USA we discovered Dollywood, it was truly Amazing there, and Dolly Parton her self actually still shows up there every once in a while, we missed her by two weeks . the cinnamon bread there was very yummy and well worth the wait , almost 2 hours , My tip for anybody going there is, line up for the bread first.

So we were all set to be together for two weeks on the 24th of March, but it seems this nasty little monster Covid 19 has taken over. its a truly horrible thing and the sooner we get it defeated the better for the world. I really feel sorry for those people who like me and Jenn are kept apart from each other by it, which at the moment is almost everybody. I really hope that every body out there is keeping safe and doesn't get it. Please be safe, and look after each other because if this teaches us one thing is that, each other is really all we have.

To me it was so strange, I'm a big zombie movie fan, and besides the walking dead and people getting eaten its very similar to something like that, you hear rumour of a distant illness, next thing you know its on the news then its in your country then on your doorstep.  I felt so awful when they suspended the flights and now they say that everywhere is on lockdown. streets once full of people are now quiet   and roads with no cars on them, well not quarter as many. Its so quiet here I can hear the birds singing.

But there is a glimmer of hope amongst the chaos, Wohan where it all started have had no new cases for 4 days now . could it be coming to a end???  the media have been covering it on every channel , but only telling the amount who have been infected,  they are not so quick to say how many have recovered, and while no death from such a thing is good and could be prevented, I really feel they should show number of infected, but then right beside it show number recovered, I bet it would relieve so much anxiety and show that it does have a end but that's just my opinion.

Well I hope who ever reads this is safe and well. please look after your selves and each other.

All the Best from
Wayne and Jennifer :)

My opinion on England exiting the EU

I'm not old enough to remember when England wasn't in the EU = European Union.
but my mother talks about how she feels England was better off. She says about how we didn't have to abide by the rules of the rest of the world and how we fought through two world wars on our own and so on.

There is also a lot of talk about how  illegal immigration is a big problem for the UK and that our country is not our own anymore, that most of the jobs are taken by foreign workers and how the country is in debt because we have to  pay 350 million pounds a month just to stay in the EU.

I heard apparently we are one of the biggest contributes in to the EU and people say that all we get is told what we can and cant have by other countries even down to regulations on how straight a banana should be.. if that is true or not I have no idea , but it does seem a crazy idea.

I was one of the 48% who wanted to stay in the EU, well I say one of the 48% but I did not vote.
Maybe if I did it could have made a 0.01% difference, there were many others like me who felt the same but did not give their vote and I'm sure that many others wanted to leave and did not vote too

I feel that so many actually voted without fully understanding just what they were getting the country in to.. or should I say out of. Most of the people who voted out were of the older generations and while I respect the older generations and am sure that they are all mostly wise and full of knowledge in how it once was before the EU, I'm not so sure they relies just what it means now we will come out.

It has been about four months now since the vote and I have to say that it seems that everything is going wrong already.  the pound has all but completely crashed, as you all know I often as possible go to be with my Beautiful Jenn, when i very first started going to be with her, the pound against the dollar was around 1.55 it has often hovered around there  it did take a bit of a tumble a few years ago but held steady around 1.49.  just before the vote on the EU it took a bit of a jump up to around 1.52 , I went to bed hoping we would stay in the EU and i looked just before I fell to sleep and it was in favor of staying but when I woke up the next day the vote had gone 52% for leaving the EU.

The pound took a hit immediately falling to about 1.29 against the dollar that was not good but even worse a number of company's announced that they would have to leave the UK for their best interests. it felt like we had just made a huge mistake but i said to my self while It is a rocky beginning surly it must get better in the long run so I paid close attention to what was happening.
Then the Prime minister stepped down because he couldn't agree that leaving the EU was best for the  UK.

I'm not really in to politics and I think that most of them only have their own ideals in mind, I don't vote because they all  seem to be different cases of bad and why should I pick from the best of a bad situation when it comes to what is best for all the people. My vote should not be expected by them but it should be earned by them, and they all give promises like " we will bring the troops home.. we will make the hospitals better, we will focus on crime and justice.. and so on and so on, but if you look at the end of the term of their services just how many of these promises they actually keep??..None of them.

I don't think that David Cameron did much better and while im sure they enter with noble intentions they soon relies that what they promised was just a ideal that cant be accomplished just by them selves, which brings me back to my original point, what can a country accomplish on its own in these days ,very little if nothing at all most of the time, it takes a union of countries working together side by side to change the world for the better, people joining together and saying in one voice we want a better world for everybody.

I admit that even in the EU it wasn't all perfect, but it was people working together in union , we all share this planet we live on and if we could all just learn to work together it could be the place we all dream of.

just two weeks ago , the new prime minister announced that we will go forward with the exit,  the pound dropped even further and at present stands at 1.19 against the dollar, and almost equal to the euro, and now even more company's are talking of leaving England in favor of staying in the EU, even Scotland are talking about leaving the UK and becoming independent of the island to stay in the EU.

How can this be good for anybody? surly someone must be able to see that its going very wrong somewhere,, or is it just me been morbid. I am a very optimistic person and I always believe that the best will come out of any situation..Usually.

Maybe  years from now things may get better and pick up, and I truly hope they do for everyone, but what happens in the meantime, prices are predicted to go up now while the pound will get weaker, companies are pulling out of the UK, its not good so far.

Rant over .

Thank you for reading

Does anybody know?

This post is a inquiry to anybody who reads it or who may know some one who can help.
It's not about me it is about my brother in law  and I shall explain what has happened as best I can from the beginning.

My brother in law has always had trouble with his feet, he used to be a scaffold worker and would be out most days in all kinds of conditions from early in the morning till often late at night. He was on his feet most of the day and when he would get back he would say his feet were sore, he had what looked like warts or calluses on the bottom of his feet and they would often cause him pain.

When he would get home at night he would wear down the ..what ever they were on his feet with a scraper thinking that they were warts. he said that he had them for a few years but they were getting to the point where they were causing him quite some pain to the point where it was starting to affect his walking.

I would notice him hobbling and often limping around almost like he had a strained ankle , it was starting to get quite bad for him. Shane is a man who will not admit to been in pain unless it is really bad so when he said it was hurting I knew it must have been serious.

Shane eventually decided to go see a doctor about his feet, and they decided that the best thing to do was to get them out of his feet, now  I am not sure what they did but I think they froze them and took them out of his feet . From Shane's description the root went deep in to his foot by maybe a inch and left a hole in the bottom of his foot.

Shane's hands were the next thing to start having the effect of this strange illness, and here is  where it becomes strange. Now if I or you were to cut our hand or bump it.. then the cut would scab over in a hour or so and eventually heal and our hand would look normal again in a few days. Shane if he got a cut or even so much as a pin prick on his hand would not heal like that, instead of the usual scab over and heal it would still scab over...but the scab would keep growing and growing and become flesh like. and it would take maybe a month to go away at first, but now its not going away at all but instead where he gets cut or even bumps his hand will just keep scabbing and scabbing and growing.

Back to Shane's Feet, remember how earlier I said about him having that thing removed from the bottom of his feet?...well when it healed it did the same on his foot as it does on his hand and turned in to some sort of a scab that would keep growing like on his hands. Something was definitely not right  what ever it was on the bottom of his foot had now doubled in size and was roughly the size of a 50 pence piece ( 1 Inch) wide on the bottom of his foot.

The time had come to try to find out what it was that was seeming to grow,  He was admitted to hospital this time by the doctor where many tests were performed without any real success but the suspicion was pointing towards some very rare kind of cancer. The Hospital decided the best way to deal with it was to again take it out of his foot, but this would leave a hole even deeper and wider than before and the only real option was to take a skin graft from his upper leg and place it over the hole on the bottom of his foot.

After the surgery they told him that within two weeks he should be fully healed and ready to go back to work, his feet were both wrapped in bandages and he was sent home. for the next week he was in severe pain  but hopeful that the operation had been a success.  After just one week what ever it was was coming back and growing inside his feet and on his hands.. and worse still it was now starting to grow where he had the skin graft on the upper part of his leg.

It had come back and this time was even bigger it had not only consumed the hole where they had taken the last one out but had burst through the skin grafts and was on both his feet and both his hands, he can now barely walk and is in constant pain to the point of where my sister put a fan on because it was so warm and the breeze from the fan was hurting his feet and hands.

he has been examined but many doctors and had numerous tests that have all come back with no answers, and the doctors and nurses are all baffled by what it could be and none of them have ever seen it or even heard of anything like it before.

So now I am hoping for the power of social media= my blog page to find a possible answer to this problem, if anybody anywhere or anybody's friends may know of what it is or knows of someone who has had it or even heard of it .. then I ask please to leave me a message or a comment on here I would truly appreciate any advice.

Shane gave his permission to show his hands and feet on here so that people can see what it looks like, but if you are in any way squeamish or have a week stomach then maybe not a good idea to look.

Thank you for your time :)

My time with Jenn July 2016

Me and my Beautiful Jenn got to spend time together in July and it was perfect
I'm always so grateful for every second of our time together

This time we visited South Carolina. a town called Charleston, but Ill tell you about that part in order of the story.

As usual we met at the airport in Atlanta, and that is always amazing to me, to see her after so long is

magical and fills me with excitement,

I find my self rushing through the airport as fast as I can just to get to her.  When I see My beautiful Jenn for the first time in a long time, I come to life and i feel so happy

In July its very hot and takes me a while to adjust to the temperature, when I get of the plane, well mainly out of the airport, it feels like i have opened the oven door and been hit by the heat. within minutes I can feel the tops of my ears and the back of my neck burning. I am so glad for air conditioning, usually i go  outside to cool down in England. but in America I go inside .

the first place that me and Jenn went to was one of our usual places Dahlonega, it's the very first place we ever went to together and has such a sentimental value to us both,

we love it there and it's actually not changed at all in the main square. we went to shenanigans the Irish restaurant there,

we have the tradition of it been the first place we eat in Dahlonega, and we also love the mountains and its surrounded by them.
we went to the petting zoo near Dahlonega. its so cool there, it has lots of goats and some cows.

.

and pigs.. it has a walk tour that you can see some of the more rare and dangerous animals. such as wolfs. and even a camel tour which was great
we went to a town  called Helen, its based on a German town , and all the buildings are made as they would be in Germany. we spent the day there to go tubing along the river, there are two options , the short ride and the long ride but due to the heat the river was running low so they recommended  the shorter ride but even that one lasted about a hour

. its very nice relaxing while going along a river.

We spend some time looking around Helen, but with the heat we didn't wonder to far, but we did have some ice cream and sat and watched the world go by for a while.

One thing me and Jenn love to do is watch movies, and we watched a good few while we were in Daholenga, Ghostbusters, Secret life of pets, and Finding Dori  and we loved them all.

On Thursday we went to Stone Mountain Park,

now this place has to be our favorite park to go to. it has so much to do and has so much natural beauty,

and we always stay at the hotel in the park there. We watch the laser show, we usually would sit on the grass but this time we got some chairs and sat in comfort to watch the laser show.

We go on all the rides there from the ducks

to the train.. and we always play the mini golf, we saw the Chicago boys

and even saw a 4d movie.

On Monday we traveled to Charleston, it was 399 miles away according to the Sat Nav and took us around 5 hours to get there, and once we were there it was amazing,

there was so much to do and we did as much as possible. I think we covered it all.

The first thing we did was go on a haunted tour of a old prison that was there.

It was said that a woman serial killer was there,

we heard stories of all the people that were there and how sometimes up too 13 people would be fit in one cell.

We also tried many restaurants , hymans was good and on each table they had names of the famous people who had sat there before.

We stayed at a inn called the indigo inn, it was so nice there and was set right in the center of Charleston.

it had a beautiful court yard and served cheese and crackers every evening at 5pm promt,

they even did a turn down service which I had never seen before. it was so nice.

and it sat next to a old cobble street, apparently the cobble came from the English ships that would use them to weigh the ships down and then when they took on cargo they would get rid of the cobble and the city of Charleston used the cobble to make the roads.

We went on many tours and for the first time since I was at school I went on a boat and we went out and down the river,

the tour had lots of interesting facts, according to history, the very first shots of the civil war were fired there and the first battle lasted 36 hours. the fortress still sits there on the edge of the coast. For the first time I saw a Aircraft Carrier ,

could never grab the concept of just how big those things were till I saw one in Charleston.

Me and my beautiful Jenn also went on quite a few ghost tours and one of them took us down in to a dungeon where I got possibly the best picture of what could be a specter or spiritual energy yet, there were lost of people in there with me and a few people saw me take the picture.. there were no bugs and its definitely not dust,

but ill leave who ever sees the picture to make up their own mind.

It was so hot in Charleston, but me and Jenn would have a ice cream most nights to cool down, it was nice sitting and watching the world go by while eating ice cream.

Another place we visited was called the black fedora and it was so good, it was a murder mystery comedy and people who were sat at the tables got to take part if they liked,

i decided to join in with the fun and was handed a script. I was a crazy sales man who only had a few lines and the rest of the people who had scripts were different characters and we all read until we got to the end of the mystery.  its so good and if your ever in Charleston you must check it out.

There was a history tour of Charleston that We went on , it was a walking tour that covered a lot of ground also the lady who gave us the tour knew everything about the city,

she was raised there and had lived all her life there,

we learned all about Charleston and some of its oldest residence ,

and some land marks and some of the more famous houses including where the constitution was signed and where John Kennedy stayed when he was in the Navy,

it was very interesting.

after the tour we decided to visit the Nathaniel house after hearing it was one of the main buildings in Charlestons history

, it had some beautiful Architecture

and was famous for its floating staircase, a circling staircase that didn't touch the walls

On our last night in Charleston we went on a Haunted tour on a boat, the boat wasn't haunted, but it sailed around the docks and the captain told stories that he had learned of from history and people he had spoken to who had witnessed it first hand , it was dark and out in the the middle of the river where there is no lights it can be very spooky, but if you look up. you can see the stars like you never can in a lit city or a street. the ride lasted about a hour and a half , and the  guy who told the stories had written three books..and I bought one of them and he even signed it for me.

We really had a wonderful time in Charleston and have said we shall go back there one day, both there and Savannah are our favorite coastal city's

We then spent the last few days of our time for this trip back at stone mountain, and this time we saw Mrs Mabel, a old lady who plays the organ at stone mountain every weekend.

She is one of only three people in the world who know how to play that particular type of organ and she was so sweet that fact that she had been doing this for years and still every weekend without fail came to entertain others was a great inspiration to me.

we went swimming in the pool for a while on our last day, and just had as much fun as possible, but time was soon caught up and I had to come back to England again, I hate when I have to leave, it really takes everything i have and I do feel sad and so does Jenn, but we are both now working on making our time together permanent, we have sent  emails to some attorneys and are awaiting word back on how we go about it and we shall begin the process .

and on another good note , I shall be back with my Beautiful Jenn in Nonmember , I am so excited

Thank you for reading our story.

I love you so much my beautiful Jenn

Movie review on movie remakes

I suppose this is not so much of a normal blog but slightly more of a bit of a rant really,
I love movies and I watch lots of them every week  and I should really become a movie reviewer with how many I see, but one thing that gets me every time with movies or should I say with some is that there seems to be a bit of a trend lately with remakes  or as they call them.. Reboots.

For example the Spider man Franchise or better yet the Batman franchise
Now I loved the christian bale versions of the Batman movies, he really raised the bar about as high as it can go, the movies were dark and Gothic as batman should be, I would in fact give the Dark knight rises 9/10 , very rare for me and even rarer that a movie will get 10/10
so in effect the Dark knight rises was close to perfect. and it was watched by lots of people who I am sure felt the same , i talked to so many movie lovers who felt the same way.
So what do they do,, they go and in effect completely reboot it again in the Batman vs superman movie which now shows Batman as more of a High tech James bond sort of person.

And now on to Spiderman
Again something that has been rebooted 3 times now in the last 15 years?
While they have improved on spider man I the new marvel movie now is the 3 variation of the character who is the latest to appear in the Mashup of characters that they seem to just be throwing in to the mix . I say that within the next ten years it will be the DC vs MARVEL movie and it shall just be super hero  upon super hero and all of them shall have their own little spin off movies that will have no doubt cast the old versions aside and have been re written.

And that brings me to the real reason of this particular blog , now please don't misunderstand me on this, I am in no way sexist in any way I am all for equal rights and so on , But
a REBOOT of Ghost busters  and they are all women, I'm sorry but it should have been left alone, the original is still one of the best movies of its kind, if not the only one of its kind , it was a dark humor horror with great actors and actresses all round, so what do they go and do?? they turn it in to a comedy for kids , which I can understand wanting to appeal to a wider audience and i'm all for that, but however this is one they should have left well alone , if it isn't broken...don't fix it.

I have a feeling it shall be a big flop.

I would like to see some movies remade of course because with the high tech of today they could make it look truly amazing, but some should be just left alone
for example..the carry on movies..you can never remake those simply because the magic that made them happen no longer exists. it had the perfect line of comedy gold and actors and actresses needed. they are classic and should be left alone

I am actually writing this as I watch Dads army the REMAKE,, and again its not a touch on the original. i remember the tv series and it was pure genius but again the magic it once had can not be resurrected. it again should have been left alone

well forgive me for the rant but its just what was on my mind.
thanks for reading :)
