Good old Yorkshire food

There are some great foods that come from Yorkshire England, and one of them is Yorkshire puddings. They go great with mash potatoes and gravy, in fact they go great with so many foods.
Today mom made some for dinner.

I don't usually do food blogs but these were just so nice that I had to write about them.

I'm gonna try and make them some time soon, they are quite simple but very yummi and like I said they They go great with most things.

My mom has made them from when I was very small , when I was young I couldn't stand them, or sprouts or chicken , but over the years I have grown to love them.
and I would recommend them to anyone.

And they call them selves grown ups

Today was a derby day in the city where I live, the two rival teams where facing in a regular season game. There has always been a strong rivalry between the two teams but it's not the teams that I am writing about, its the followers and they way they behave.

I was at work and had a full view of the road to the stadium. you can always tell when there is a match between the two teams because there is no one around who isn't a fan.
it got to about a hour before kick off and the road was full of football fans
from mainly the home team, they wear there team colours with pride and 70% of them are there to enjoy the game and have a nice time.

however it's the other 30% I am writing about, I was truly amazed at just how stupid these men were, and it wasn't teenagers it was men in their mid 30's to early 40's.
They walked up the street singing and staggering with drinks in their hands and straight away you could tell they were just looking for trouble. they were pointing at supporters of the opposite team and shouting abuse towards them.
They walked in front of traffic with no regard for their own safety or the safety of anyone els,
and yet I bet that if most of these men saw their children acting like that they would have something to say about it.

Old men who fought in the war are proud to have defended their country. they fought to defend life and preserve our rights.

but what do these (FOOTBALL FANS) fight for? They fight all because some one likes a different team or wears a different colour, or looks at them in the wrong way.

and they call them selves grown ups huh

One thing that I do quite often is take pictures, I take my camera with me every where in my pocket and I will quite often see something that amuses me so I will take a picture.
I was looking through my pictures on my computer and there are so many that I haven't used yet so I thought I would put them on here for you all to see.


I took this picture of this bird, I'm not sure what kind of bird it is but he/she has a really odd face,

My favorite animal in the whole world has to be a squirrel, I love them and they are so funny.

I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are but I like them, I like the colour, I think they are blue bells

I'm sure that this flower is a daffodil,

My Great Nephew Marcus, He is such a funny little man.

Baby Marcus 1st birthday

Today was the very first birthday of little baby Marcus, my great nephew he has had such a wonderful first year.
He has learn't so much, like how to crawl and make noises and how to scream.
He is such a funny little man .

Every day is a blessing

I was at work today and as part of my job I walk around the store and ask people if they need any help or advice on movies. I saw a man stood looking at the new DVDs in the store and so I walked up to him and I asked how he was today and he said to me "I am happy to be above the ground ".

I didn't say anything el's to this man because his answer made me think about all the things I have every day that I take for granted but are blessings and privileges.

Just a simple thing like been above the ground and been able to breath and walk and talk.
all those things that I do every day and don't even give a second though about.

The sun rising and giving light to a brand new day and not just today but every day is a blessing.
Having a Job and a roof over my head and food to eat and even the plate to eat the food from is a great privilege that some people in the world just don't have.

finding the woman I love who you all know is my beautiful Jenn is a great blessing and I love her every minute of every day.

There are so many things that I am so thank full for and I am sorry if I ever take them for granted.

Every day is a blessing and a privilege so make them great and be thank full for all the things in your life.
