Photo Friday

Welcome to photo Friday a blog hosted by mamageek
I have taken part now for about 4 weeks and have had so much fun.
Well here are my photo's for this week.

I decided to base this weeks on a day of grocery shopping with mom so here goes.

Me and mom often go to Morrison's
here is the entrance to Morrison's. it was once a army base years ago and housed the Royal Irish Dragoon guards in 1856 and has been converted to a shopping center.
and here is the main shopping center, kinda looks like a castle.

inside it is quite big as you can see this is just the isle beyond the checkouts.

they cook bread fresh every day in these old style ovens.

Market street is the part of the store where you can buy fresh meats like ham or beef or chicken, and you can also buy cheese from this section.
And this is the waiting system, you take a ticket and wait till your number is up.

Mom gets trolley duty while I am the go getter, she will say to me "Wayne grab me that tin from that shelf".

Here is me waiting for mom to catch up, she can take quite a while when she is doing her shopping.
Here are some of the fruits of our labour.

Well I hope you all enjoyed shopping with me and mom .
and I hope you all enjoyed my photo Friday.

That looks like a fun place to shop. Did the people find you odd for taking pictures?

Wow -- we have no grocery stores over here with that kind of history!

That was a great shopping trip. I love the old building-looks really cool! Believe it or not, but comparing grocery stores is highly entertaining for me-does that make me a total geek? or just a little one?

Great PSF!

You might have to tell me where that store is. My FIL and family are from England, and that store looks family...like between Claygate and Staines?

And, I loathe the "trolley's" in England. Why do all four wheels have to turn?

What a great place to shop. I would love to have that kind of experience..don't think I would leave!:)

The taking the number thing has me getting anxious...rocking back and forth...reminds me of waiting at the DMV, having a 120 number and only on 30 with only 2 workers and 20 others just watching! Sorry, will stop the anxiety:):) giggling

I enjoyed that shopping trip and I didn't feel as worn out as I usually do!
At first I thought we were going round a castle when I saw that turret!

Thanks for showing me round!

Wow! That is a huge Morrison's. We have a dinky one that we use when we don't want to take to the highway for Tesco's. Looks like you could spend a day in there.

What a beautiful and interesting grocery store. I wouldn't mind shopping there. I hate to shop in our grocery stores - they are too big and too crowded and not near as pretty.

Have a great weekend - Kellan

Wow. I thought it was a penitentiary at first. That building is gorgeous (I imagine it was quite the something!).
It looks like great fun to shop there and I can see why a mom would need some help. That was fun! I'll go shopping anytime, anywhere.

An extra special thank you Wayne for always coming to visit my pitiful Photo Fridays! That's very kind of you:)

I know I am late to the comment party, lol, but that is one awesome looking store!!! I would LOVE to see one like that in real life. At first I thought it was gonna be "spooky" then the inside pics quickly proved otherwise.

Ok, so this will probably sound a little lame but I thought that that was SO COOL! You've mentioned going grocery shopping with your mom before, and I've always wondered what your grocery store looks like. Well now I know! It really does look like a castle. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
